An exciting part time 2 days a week opportunity has recently become available with a dynamic, small manufacturing organisation based in Portsmouth, UK. The current headcount is circa 35.
We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Advisory HR Manager to join our team in a stand-alone role. This position plays a crucial role in supporting and advising managers and the business on the day-to-day people operations, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and fostering a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice and guidance to senior management and department heads on HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and objectives.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting and candidate screening to interviewing and onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
Implement initiatives to foster a culture of employee engagement, recognition, and retention within the organisation.
Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs and provide guidance on compensation strategies to remain competitive in the market.
Manage HR administrative tasks, including maintaining personnel records and preparing reports for senior management.
CIPD qualified with proven experience in a senior HR advisory role, preferably in a similar-sized organisation
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
